Don't Worry

by Harold Whisman

After a harsh winter filled with arctic winds

numbing our fingers and faces, after the same

winter gave life-altering birth to a new pandemic

forcing us into semi-isolation, the daisies at our house

flourished in the spring, giving us big golden winks,

as if to say, don't worry because beauty and grace

are still here and always will be.
