Gaudete Sunday, 2009
by Lisa Molina
Pediatric transplant unit. No candles allowed. We’ve set up an Advent wreath for you. Four electric tapers. Today, the third is lit. Gaudete. Joyful for the pink umbilical cord blood of another mother’s child to be infused into your 13-year old nearly dead body to take root and find new life. Just two more days. We wait in joyful hope.
